Located in Amsterdam city centre, Amsterdam Bass Festival is the first multi-day festival in The Netherlands for Dubstep and similar music genres. For three nights both rooms of the legendary and trendsetting Melkweg venue - also known as the Milky Way - will be devoted to the most popular dance movement of this moment and all related music types. 

With the Amsterdam Bass Festival, Melkweg has created a home for bass music in the broadest sense: not only for the fast growing Dubstep genre, but also the music styles that Dubstep evolved from, such as Drum 'N Bass and Hip Hop, and the sounds that evolved from Dubstep, such as Beats and the newer Post-Dubstep sounds. Back in 2006 Melkweg was the first venue in The Netherlands that structurally started organizing Dubstep nights named Sonic Warfare. Ever since, the number of Dubstep related dance nights kept growing and by now, Dubstep is part of the venue's DNA.

Club nights CABLE, HOAX and 50Hurtz, which all represent their own part of the festival's musical spectrum, each host one night of the festival.
